The weekend
A weekend built around the guitar.
Guitoberfest brings the CGC community together for a full weekend of learning, listening, and playing.
Join workshops on tremolo and technique, a lecture recital, a presentation on musical phrasing, open mics, and a teachers' concert featuring video performances from the CGC Team and our special guest.
Listen
A lecture recital and teachers' concert put music at the center of the weekend.
Play
Live open mics give members a place to share what they have been working on.
Special guest artist
René
Izquierdo
Cuban virtuoso guitarist and educator René Izquierdo joins Guitoberfest for two sessions and the teachers' concert.
René will share how he teaches brand-new students in his program and walks them through the process of reaching success by the end of their studies. He will also lead a dedicated technique workshop.
The CGC team
Three more sessions.
Three distinct perspectives.
Members of the Classical Guitar Corner team lead sessions across both days.
Saturday finale
Teachers'
